APPLE AND BANANA SALAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Candela Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1997. Ingredients:
1 egg separated |
2/3 cup granulated |
2 tablespoons flour |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 cup water |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Beat yolk of egg then add sugar, flour and butter then mix thoroughly. 2. Put in saucepan and put on stove then add water and stir constantly until it boils. 3. Let cool completely then add vanilla and gently fold in stiffly beaten egg white. 4. Pour sauce over diced apples and bananas. |
