A different combination that works well together. A lighter taste than my chocolate based cheesecakes. Ingredients:
crust |
2 cups crushed 'nilla wafers |
1/4 cup sugar |
4 tbsp butter, softened |
filling |
2 pounds philly cream cheese, softened |
1 1/4 cup sugar |
3 tbsp flour |
5 large eggs |
1 ounce almond extract |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
4 medium apples, peeled cored and sliced |
Directions:
1. Preheat to 500^ 2. Crust: 3. Mix all ingredients completely. 4. Butter sides and bottom of 10 spring-pan. 5. Press crumb mixture into the sides and bottom of pan. 6. Set in fridge. 7. Filling: 8. Blend cream cheese and flour until smooth. 9. Add eggs one at a time. 10. Add almond extract and cream, mixing thoroughly. 11. Fold in apples. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 500^ for 15 minutes. 12. Reduce to 250^ and continue baking for 1 hour. 13. Let cool and refridgerate before serving. |
