APPETIZER ARTICHOKE BREAD This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Brooks Estate in Richardson, Texas in 2006. Ingredients:
1 loaf unsliced french bread |
1-1/2 cups sour cream |
1/2 cup butter melted |
2 tablespoons sesame seeds |
2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese |
6-1/2 ounces marinated artichoke hearts drained and chopped |
4 garlic cloves minced |
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley |
2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning |
Directions:
1. Cut bread in half lengthwise then hollow out leaving 1/2 shell. 2. Set shell aside. 3. Place removed bread in a food processor or blender then cover and process until crumbly. 4. Combine bread crumbs, sour cream, butter and sesame seeds then spread onto a baking sheet. 5. Broil 4” from heat for 10 minutes or until lightly browned stirring once. 6. Combine the crumb mixture, cheeses, artichokes, garlic, parsley and lemon-pepper. 7. Spoon into bread shells then place on a baking sheet. 8. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until golden brown then slice and serve warm. |
