Great recipe for parties and such. Ham can also be replaced by chunk tuna, chicken, turkey etc Ingredients:
1 9-inch round loaf of bread (any round, loaf) |
16 oz grated sharp cheddar cheese |
8 oz cream cheese, softened |
8 oz dairy sour cream |
1/2 cup minced green onion, white and green part |
1-2 tsp worcestershire sauce |
2 , 4.5 oz cans chopped green chilies |
1 cup chopped cooked ham |
Directions:
1. Cut the top off the bread and scoop out the inside, leaving about a 2. half-inch shell on all sides and bottom. 3. Reserve top and scooped insides and set aside. 4. Combine, cheddar, cream cheese, sour cream, green onion, 5. Worcestershire, green chilies and ham; mix well. 6. This will be a very stiff mixture. 7. Fill the hollow bread with the cheese mixture; replace 8. the top and place, uncovered, on a cookie sheet. 9. Bake in a 350*F oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes. 10. Guests can use the removed bread for dipping as well as corn chips or tortillas chips. 11. Tear off the sides of the bread and eat it as the level of the dip lowers. |
