It comes from a program they have done aimed at schools. I was also drawn to it because of the lack of coconut which I was finding in a lot of Anzac Day biscuit recipe. Since I am not a fan of coconut these sound perfect for me. The recipe didn't give a yield. So, I am guessing on that. Ingredients:
1/4 cup polyunsaturated margarine |
1 tablespoon golden syrup |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
1 cup oats |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup sultana |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Melt the margarine and golden syrup. 3. Mix all the ingredients together. 4. Roll spoonfuls of the mixture into balls and place on a lightly greased oven tray. 5. Flatten. 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. |
