Cool blue grown-up slush to be served as a palate cleanser between formal dinner courses. Came from a magazine article years ago. Great for dinner parties as it is make-ahead. Prep time doesn't include freezing time. Ingredients:
1/4 cup blue curacao |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
4 cups crushed ice |
mint sprig, for garnish |
Directions:
1. In a blender, mix liqueur, sugar, lemon juice and 1 cup ice.Blend until well mixed. 2. With blender running, add the rest of the ice, 1/2 cup at a time, until it is all well incorporated. Transfer to a freezer container and freeze 4 hours or overnight. 3. To serve, let stand 20 minutes at room tmemperature. Return to blender and blend until it has a smooth consistency. Serve into small goblets and serve immediately. Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired. |
