if you really take lots of time beating all the ingredients, you'll be awarded with a really fluffy, light, wonderful texture. and do NOT SKIMP ON THE BUTTER! Ingredients:
200 gr butter |
200 gr sugar |
200 gr flour |
3 eggs |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar |
grated lemon rind from 1 lemon |
butter and fresh bread crumbs for the cake pan |
6 large apples (should be more then a pound) |
3 tbsp sugar |
sunflower seeds |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 200 °CENTIGRADE 2. have butter at room temperature 3. beat butter and sugar until all sugar is dissolved and 4. butter is 'foamy'-fluffy 5. add eggs one by one, 6. beating continuously 7. until you have a creamy substance 8. now add flour, baking power and lemon rind quickly 9. grease cake pan with butter and sprinkle in bread crumbs, making sure sides are coated, too 10. upturn cake pan so get rid of excess crumbs 11. fill in dough, use bowl scraper to even out top 12. by some miracle, you are done with peeling coring and 13. quartering apples 14. which you'll place on the dough, 15. trying to make a nice pattern 16. sprinkle with sugar and sunflower seeds 17. bake FOR ABOUT ONE HOUR 18. my guest like toeat this not quite cold, 19. i beat cream with some sugar and some apple brandy. hmmmm. sinful! |
