My husband has put in a standing order for me to make this every week, and if he likes it that much, I figured my friends here might want to try it. It's really simple, and makes a great presentation. You can get real creative with this basic recipe: just add your own flair! Read more ! Shredded carrots, pepperoni, broccoli, etc. Ingredients:
12 ounce box tri-colored rotini pasta |
bottle of newman's own (or your favorite brand) balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1 t dried basil flakes |
1/8 t crushed red pepper flakes |
1 t salt |
1/4 c shredded parmesan cheese |
10 cherry tomatoes, halved |
1/2 c shredded mozzarella |
1 14.5 ounce can sliced black olives |
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions, until just al dente 2. Drain and rinse pasta, and place in a medium mixing bowl 3. Add Balsamic Vinaigrette to your liking-I use about half a bottle (8 or more ounces) 4. Add sliced olives, halved tomatoes, garlic, basil, red pepper flakes, and salt. Toss. 5. Cool pasta in fridge for about 15 minutes or so, then add parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, and toss again. 6. Chill before serving |
