Annette's Great Ham Glaze |

This has been a favorite among family and friends for years! I hope you enjoy it too. Ingredients:
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
8 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup gold rum (such as bacardi goldĀ®) |
1/4 cup dark molasses |
3 tablespoons spicy mustard |
1 tablespoon cider vinegar |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Combine brown sugar, butter, rum, molasses, mustard, and cider vinegar in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, and reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring constantly, until sugar has melted and the glaze has thickened, about 8 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. |
