Easy crowd pleasing recipe. Ingredients:
1 (1 lb) box rotini pasta |
oil |
1 onion, diced |
4 stalks celery, chopped |
1 lb hamburger or 1 lb turkey, ground |
garlic |
pepper |
crushed red pepper flakes |
italian seasoning |
seasoning salt |
1 (8 ounce) package mushrooms, sliced |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (15 ounce) can sweet corn, drained |
1 tablespoon sugar |
4 ounces cream cheese |
8 ounces cottage cheese |
8 ounces sour cream |
1 cup cheese, shredded |
dried parsley flakes |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Cook rotini according to package directions. Drain. 3. In large saucepan heat oil. Saute onion and celery until tender. 4. Add hamburger, garlic, pepper, red pepper flakes, italian seasoning, and seasoned salt. Brown. 5. Add mushrooms. Cook until soft. 6. Add tomato sauce, corn, and sugar. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minute. 7. In medium bowl combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, and sour cream. 8. Layer in greased 9 x 13 pan. Add half of rotini noodles. Add half of cheese mixture, add half of meat mixture. Repeat. End in meat mixture. 9. Top with shredded cheese and sprinkle with parsley flakes. 10. Bake uncovered for 30 minute. |
