Angies Dirty Garlic Bread |

This garlic bread is far from healthy & you may feel a little dirty after eating it, but I guarantee you will take more than one piece. Everyone I have ever made it for asks for the recipe & I never have leftovers. Ingredients:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese |
1/2 cup of butter or margarine |
3 jumbo cloves of garlic - minced |
2-3 tbs dried parsley |
1 tbs mayo |
1 french baguette cut into 1/2-1 inch thick slices |
*if you really love garlic, add some garlic powder as well |
Directions:
1. Preaheat the oven to 400 degrees. 2. Place baguette slices on a cookie sheet. 3. In a small pot melt cream cheese & butter over medium heat. Once melted add in the garlic, parsley & mayo; stir in & allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Once melted spread the mixture evenly over the slices. 4. Cook in preheated oven for 8 minutes. During the last 5-7 minutes turn up the oven to 475 degrees (to achieve a brown top & crunchy edges). |
