Ingredients:
14 to 16 slices bacon, halved crosswise |
2 (12-ounce) containers fresh select oysters, drained |
2 cups yellow cornmeal |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup milk |
2 eggs |
vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Wrap a bacon half around each oyster; secure with a wooden pick through oyster. 2. Combine cornmeal, salt, and pepper; dredge oysters in meal mixture. Combine milk and eggs; beat well. Dip oysters into milk mixture; dredge again in meal mixture. Deep fry in hot oil (375°) until golden brown; drain on paper towels. Serve warm with Seafood Sauce. |
