There are 2 recipes for this. I will poast both the other as Angel Pie 2. I can't say on prep time. Ingredients:
2 egg whites |
1/8 tsp. salt |
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar |
1/2 c. sugar |
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans |
1/2 tsp. vanilla |
Directions:
1. Beat egg whites and salt and cream of tartar until foamy. 2. Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating well after each addition then continue beating until real stiff. 3. Fold in vanilla and nuts and spoon into pie pan and shape as a pie shell and bake at 300 for 50-55 minutes and let cool. 4. Take 1 bar Baker sweet German Chocolate and 3 tablespoons water and put over low heat until chocolate melts and let cool, then add 1 teaspoon vanilla. 5. Whip one cup of whipping cream and pour into chocolate mixture. 6. Pour this into meringue pie shell and chill for 2 hours before eating. |
