This one is different than the other Angel Pie this one uses coconut. You be the judge on cook time and chill time. Ingredients:
4 1/2 tbsps. corn starch |
1 c. sugar |
1 1/2 c. boiling water |
1/2 tsp. salt |
3 egg whites |
3 tsps. sugar |
1 1/2 tsps. vanilla |
1 9 inch pie shell |
1 can angel flake coconut |
Directions:
1. Mix cornstarch and sugar. 2. Add boiling water. 3. Cook, stirring constantly until thick and clear. 4. Add salt to egg whites. 5. Beat until stiff, add vanilla and 2 teaspoons sugar and beat until creamy. 6. Pour into hot cornstarch mixture. 7. Add coconut. 8. Pour into baked pie shell and chill. |
