Yummy cheese dip! Everyone is always asking for the recipe or asking us to make it when going to parties.
Ingredients:
1/2 stick butter
4 tbsp flour
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp jalapeno pepper juice
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp red pepper
1/2 tsp garlic
1/4 tsp mustard powder
12-14 american cheese slices
2 cups milk
Directions:
1. 1) Melt butter and add flour-mix together until paste like
2. 2) Mix all other ingredients with paste mixture (except cheese & milk)
3. 3) Gradually add milk to mixture-careful not to add too much milk at one time or it will get lumpy
4. 4) Microwave for 3 minutes on high
5. 5) Tear 6 slices of cheese into small pieces and stir into mixture
6. 6) Microwave 3-5 minutes until hot -stirring occasionally
7. 7) Add 6 more torn cheese slices
8. 8) Microwave until hot - stirring occasionally
9. If mixture is runny add more cheese
10. **note: this is not a thick consistency cheese dip
11. For added flavor add ground beef and a touch of cayenne pepper
12. You can also substitute 8oz velveeta-but we like the American cheese best.
