Great-grandmother's recipe that has fooled many an anchovy hater. If they don't know what is in it, they will rave about it. I like it with fresh veggies, excellent on top of fried turkey cutlets, or as a sandwich spread. Ingredients:
one 2 ounce can anchovies (12-14 fillets) |
2 cloves of garlic chopped |
1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley |
1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil |
1 tbsp of dijon mustard |
1 teaspoon of capers |
2 cups of best quality mayonnaise |
Directions:
1. Place the anchovies, garlic, parsley, basil, mustard and capers in a blender or food processor and puree. 2. Combine the puree with the mayonnaise. Allow to stand at least two hours refrigerated for the flavors to meld. |
