You've heard of Garlic Bread, it's nice with pasta. Well my friend called this, 'the nuclear option of garlic breads.' It's not for everyone, but I love it. It's good with fish, pasta, on its own as a snack. In fact it may be one of nature's perfect foods. Ingredients:
italian or french bread |
5 anchovy filets (from a jar or a tin) |
3 tbs butter |
3 tbs olive oil |
1 tbs garlic powder |
4 tbs parmesan cheese, grated |
pinch of black pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients (except for the bread) and mash them together. This is easiest to do in a food processor, but it can be done in a bowl if you cut the anchovies into the butter with a knife and fork. Mix into a paste. 2. Cut the bread lengthwise and spread the mixture on it evenly with a fork. 3. Wrap the bread loosley in aluminum foil and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. 4. Open the top of the foil and bake another 2 minutes. 5. Eat if you dare! |
