A Malaysian favorite, otak otak , the name given for baked fish mousse seasoned with rich herbs and spices, light Asian condiments, and then baked around the banana leaves. Something different, interesting and absolutely delicious. Read more . It's a scrumptious Asian Frittata :) Ingredients:

1.5 lbs sole fillet |
1 tbsp rice flour |
180 ml coconut milk |
1 egg |
1 tbsp tumeric powder |
2/3 tbsp tomyum paste |
1 tbsp chili paste |
dash of minced dried shrimps |
1 shallot minced |
1 in ginger minced |
1 in galangal minced |
6 stems kaffir lime leafs chopped |
dash of lemongrass powder |
dash of fish granules |
dash of belacan powder |
sugar to taste |
Directions:
1. Method : 2. 1) Blend fish fillet into paste-like. 3. 2) Mix well all ingredients with the fish paste. 4. 3) Cut the banana leafs into 6 in. long strips, then form circles & staple the bottom. 5. 4) Fill fish mixture into the banana leafs circles. 6. 5) Spray some cooking spray onto a baking sheet, place 4) onto the baking sheet. 7. 6) Bake at 375F for 15-20 minutes OR until done. |
