Good old fashioned meatloaf. Ingredients:
2 beaten eggs |
3/4 cup milk |
2/3 cup dry breadcrumbs |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
2 tablespoons fresh parsley |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon dried sage |
2 lbs ground beef |
1 dash pepper (forgot this) |
Directions:
1. You can mix all ingredients except for meat in bowl and then add meat, or you can do as I did and just mix it all in one bowl. 2. Pat mixture in loaf pan and then take out and bake on wire rack over cookie sheet lined with foil for easy clean up. 3. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or so until instant read thermometer reads 160 (I love this tool!). 4. You can put a layer of bbq sauce on top or ketchup or a sauce with 1/4 cup ketchup mixed with 2 TBS brown sugar and 1 teaspoons dry mustard. 5. This can be baked and frozen or frozen before baking. |
