Connie's recipe from family collection. Ingredients:
1 cup margarine |
1 cup oil |
1 cup white sugar |
1 cup powdered sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
4 1/2 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Cream margarine, oil, and sugars. Add eggs (1 at a time), beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture. 2. Chill dough for 2 hours. Roll dough into small balls and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. 4. Variation: Roll bolls in sugar, sugar & cinnamon, or colored, decorative sugar before baking. |
