Tastes like it just came out of a Amish family kitchen! Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar |
1 cup light molasses |
1 cup water |
1 dash salt |
4 tablespoons butter |
2 cups shelled peanuts |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, molasses, water and salt in a heavy saucepan. 2. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, to 280 degrees F. 3. Stir in butter and immediately remove from heat. 4. Stir in peanuts. 5. Pour onto greased marble slab or stoneware platter and let cool. 6. Break into pieces. |
