Got this recipe from a friend. Ingredients:
2 cups warm water |
2/3 cup sugar |
1 1/2 tablespoons yeast |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
6 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Dissolve sugar in warm water in a bowl. 2. Add yeast and allow to sit 10 minutes. 3. Add oil, salt and flour. 4. Mix well. 5. Knead well. 6. Place in a well oiled bowl, and cover for one hour to one and one half hours. 7. Knead down. 8. Let rest 10 minutes. 9. Form into 2 loaves 10. Place in greased loaf pans. 11. Allow to rise, covered, for one hour. 12. Bake 350F 30 minutes til golden. |
