I enjoy making simple Amish dishes and have been making this for years at Thanksgiving. Ingredients:
2 cups frozen corn, thawed |
2 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1 tablespoon flour (optional) |
1 tablespoon sugar (optional) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 dash pepper |
2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs into milk. 2. Combine corn eggs, milk, seasonings and 2 tbs melted butter. 3. Pour into casserole dish. 4. Mix remaining butter and bread crumbs and sprinkle on top. Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes. |
