This is a fast easy weeknight meal that is also heart healthy Ingredients:
2 egg whites |
1 cup rolled oats |
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper |
1/2 cup finely chopped celery |
1/4 cup chopped shallot |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1 lb ground turkey |
1/2 cup no-salt-added tomato sauce |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 350. 2. combine everhting but tomato sauce. 3. mix well. 4. mld turkey mixture into a loaf pan. 5. bake 45 minutes. 6. remove from oven, pat dry with paper towels. 7. warm tomato sauce in microwave 1 minute and then drizzle over loaf. |
