AMBER SLAW This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Greene Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 1991. Ingredients:
1 medium head green cabbage shredded |
1 cup shredded red cabbage |
1 cup shredded carrots |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper |
1/2 cup chopped radishes |
1/2 cup chopped onions |
1/2 cup chopped cucumber |
1 cup vegetable oil |
1 cup white vinegar |
1-3/4 cups sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. In large bowl combine all vegetables. 2. Combine remaining ingredients in jar and shake well to make dressing. 3. Combine dressing and Slaw then mix well. |
