From the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Cookbook that I acquired at a book sale. This was submitted by Helen Brockman. The name caught my eye. This has cream cheese, apricot preserves, mustard and some zip! Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
3/4 cup apricot preserves |
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard |
1 tablespoon horseradish |
1/8 teaspoon dried red pepper, crushed, you can use tabasco too |
1 -2 tablespoon peanuts, chopped (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, mix everything but the cream cheese and the nuts. 2. Place the cheese on a plate and top with the apricot mixture. 3. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts, if you like, and serve with crackers. |
