You'd never guess that this candy is made with saltines! It will be difficult, but you will have to wait for four hours for it to chill before eating! Ingredients:
unsalted saltine crackers |
1/2 lb butter |
1 cup sugar |
1 large pkg chocolate chips |
1 cup crushed walnuts |
Directions:
1. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and butter foil well. 2. Place crackers on baking sheet in a single layer. 3. Melt butter and sugar in a sauce pan and boil for 3 minutes. 4. Pour over crackers. 5. Bake in 400 degree oven for 5 minutes. 6. Sprinkle and smooth chocolate chips over crackers immediately upon removing from oven. 7. Top with crushed walnuts. 8. Refrigerate for at least four hours. 9. Break or cut into pieces. 10. Serving size will vary depending on how big you make the pieces. |
