If you love the candy bar, Almond Joy, you are gonna love this pie. Ingredients:
crust |
20 miniature almond joy bars |
3/4 cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs |
filling |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/3 cup cornstarch |
1/4 cup cocoa |
1/4 tsp. salt |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1 tsp. vanilla |
16 mini almond joy bars, half frozen then chopped in half |
whipped topping |
chopped amonds to garnish |
Directions:
1. *Cook time does not include chill time* 2. Preheat oven to 325 3. Spray 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray 4. Put graham crackers and almond joys for crust in a processor and process until blended 5. Press onto bottom and up sides of pie plate 6. Bake 10 minutes 7. Cool completely 8. Stir together sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt in saucepan 9. Blend in milk 10. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with whisk until a boil Stir for a minute 11. Remove from heat and add vanilla and candy 12. Stir until melted 13. Pour mixture into crust and press plastic wrap onto surface so no skin forms 14. Refrigerate for at least an hour 15. Top with whipped topping 16. Garnish with Almonds |
