Just a dressed up nut. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 cup sugar,divided |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
2 tablespoons amaretto liqueur |
1 cup unsalted whole almonds |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees: 2. In a small saucepan,melt butter over medium heat. 3. Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. 4. Bring to a boil,stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. 5. Boil sugar mixture mixture 3 minutes longer. 6. Remove from heat. 7. Add liqueur,stir until well blended. 8. Stir in Almonds. 9. Spread evenly on a greased baking sheet. 10. Bake 5 to 8 minutes or until dark brown ,(watch as not to burn) 11. Roll in remaining sugar,transfer to foil to coo completely. 12. Store in airtight container. 13. Yields about 1 Cup nut mix |
