Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups minus 1 tbsp all purpose flour |
2 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/4 cup margarine |
3/4 cup granulated brown sugar |
3 large eggs |
2 oz (1/4 cup) amaretto liqueur |
1 1/2 oz walnuts, chopped (about 1/3 cup) |
1 cup drained canned sour cherries, halved & pitted |
Directions:
1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt onto wax paper. In large bowl of electric mixer, at medium speed, beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beating until combined. Fold in dry ingredients. Add Amaretto, walnuts and cherries. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees until done. Cool. |
