Amanda loves salmon and I wanted to do something special for her birthday, so I made up this recipe. Luckily, she loved it and asked that I be sure to write this one down on Zaar so as to not lose it. So, Amanda, here is your birthday salmon. Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons butter |
salt |
pepper |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1/2 cup orange juice |
4 -5 slices fresh ginger (about 1/8 inch thick) |
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce |
1 tablespoon green onion top, chopped |
Directions:
1. For sauce: Whisk olive oil, orange juice and terriyaki sauce together in a saucepan. 2. Stir in ginger& green onions. 3. Bring to a boil and allow to reduce for 5 minutes. 4. In a skillet heat olive oil& butter. 5. When hot, add salmon and brown on each side. 6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until salmon starts to flake. 7. Add sauce, turning salmon to coat. 8. Cook for another 2 minutes. 9. Serve salmon with sauce. |
