This is from Prairie Home Cooking. It keeps 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
Ingredients:
1 lb radish, julienned
1 medium onion, julienned
2 tablespoons whole allspice
1/4 teaspoon whole cloves
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 cup white vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup water
Directions:
1. Combine radishes and onions. Set aside.
2. Wrap allspice, cloves and mustard seeds in cheesecloth, and tie together. Place in saucepan with remaining ingredients.
3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
4. Pour over vegetables and steep 15 minutes.
5. Pour into a clean pint jar and let cool slightly.
6. Cap and refrigerate.
