I got this recipe from my sister-in-law Mary Ann who works for a caterer in Western New York. They make it in a food processor and say it turns out perfectly every single time. They sometimes use orange juice in place of the ice water! Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 dash salt |
6 tablespoons cold butter |
2 tablespoons crisco |
3 tablespoons ice water |
Directions:
1. Put flour and salt into food processor. 2. Add butter and crisco and pulse to cut inches. 3. Slowly add ice water until a ball is formed. 4. Chill if desired, but you can roll out immediately to make 1 single crust. |
