You don't need a fondue pot to make this warm cheese dip. It's great with vegetables or dark bread cubes. Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
water |
6-8 tablespoons chablis |
1 large galic clove, minced |
6 ounces shredded swiss cheese |
1 tablespoons flour |
1/2 can cheddar cheese soup, condensed |
assorted raw vegetables; broccoli,cauliflou, carrots, etc. |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine mustar and 1/4 teaspoon water. 2. In a small saucepan or fondue pot over low heat, heat wine,1/2 cup water and garlic until hot. 3. Do not boil. 4. In a small bowl, toss cheese with flour, add to wine mixture, stirring until cheese melts. 5. Add soup and reserved mustard mixture. 6. Heat, stirring occasionally. 7. Serve with raw veggies or dark bread cubes. |
