Alpine Beef Goulash with Noodles |

Wonderful goulash recipe; another one of my moms. Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs boneless round steak (1/2 inch cubes) |
2 tablespoons oil |
1 cup chopped onion |
3 cloves minced garlic |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 tablespoon paprika |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon caraway seed |
1 teaspoon dill seed |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 cup sour cream |
hot buttered noodles |
Directions:
1. Brown beef in oil; add onion and garlic, and saute until tender. 2. Add tomato sauce and all seasonings EXCEPT sour cream and noodles. 3. Cover and cook SLOWLY about 2 1/2 hours. 4. Add sour cream just before serving (do not BOIL after adding sour cream). 5. Serve over hot buttered noodles. |
