Really fast version of Marinara sauce. Lower in calories, but very good. Ingredients:
6 -8 chicken pieces (your choice) |
2 -3 tablespoons oil |
2 (15 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes |
1 -2 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules |
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained (optional) |
1/4 cup green pepper (optional) |
1/4 cup sauteed chopped onion (optional) |
1 lb pasta, cooked |
Directions:
1. Brown chicken in oil till almost done. 2. Put tomatoes in food processor and pulse till chunky. 3. Add remaining ingredients except pasta. 4. Pour over chicken and bring to a boil. Cover with lid. 5. Simmer till chicken is done. 6. Remove lid and cook till slightly thickened. 7. Serve over pasta. |
