An easy great tasting cake you make in no time at all................. courtesy of a taste of the holidays Ingredients:
1- cup whipping cream |
2- eggs |
1- cup sugar |
1- teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2- cups sifted cake flour |
2- teaspoons baking powder |
1/4- teaspoon salt |
frosting ................... |
3- ounces cream cheese....... softened |
1- cup sifted powdered sugar |
1/2- teaspoon almond extract |
1- cup slivered almonds toasted |
Directions:
1. Cake .... 2. beat whipping cream until peaks form 3. add eggs, and beat until smooth. 4. add sugar and continue beating until well mixed ,add vanilla 5. combine flour, baking powder, and salt. 6. fold dry ingredients into a cream mixture. 7. pour into a greased and floured 8x8 inch square pan 8. bake at 375 degrees F. for 25 minutes or unitl pick comes out clean ........cool........... 9. **************************** 10. frosting 11. beat cream cheese until light 12. add the powdered sugar and continue beating until smooth 13. add almond flavoring 14. stir in almonds and spread it on cake 15. approx 9 servings.......... |
