A great tasting torte to add to a buffet dessert table. Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups whole wheat pastry flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 medium egg, slightly beaten |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup almonds, finely chopped |
1 teaspoon almond extract |
2 medium eggs |
1/2 cup raspberry jam |
1/2 cup icing sugar |
1 medium lemon, juice of |
Directions:
1. Mix the first 5 ingredients together well. 2. Press into a 8 springform pan. 3. Chill 30 minutes. 4. Mix next 5 ingredients together and beat until light and then pour over chilled shell. 5. Bake 350 oven for 30 minutes. 6. Cook 1 hour and remove from pan. 7. Spread top with raspberry jam. 8. Combine icing sugar and lemon juice and drizzle over cake. |
