1. Pastry 2. Pillsbury pie crust, softened as directed on box 3. Filling 4. /2 c. sugar 5. T. flour 6. /2 t. cinnamon 7. /8 t. salt 8. /4 t. almond extract 9. c. thinly sliced pelled apples (about 7 md.) 10. Streusel 11. /2 c. flour 12. /2 c. brown sugar 13. /4 c. cold butter, cut into pieces 14. /2 c. sliced almonds 15. Heat oven to 425. Place pie crust in 9-in. pie plate as directed on box. 16. Mix all filling ingred. except apples. Stirl in apples until coated. Spoon into crust. 17. Mix all streusel ingred. except almonds with a pastry blender until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. 18. Bake 35-40 min. covering entire surface of pie with foil for the last 15-20 min. to prevent over-browning. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake uncovered for 2-3 min. until almonds are toasted. Cool for 1 hour. |
