Why buy store bought, when homemade is cheaper, and tastes better? Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups sugar |
3 1/4 cups icing sugar |
2 1/2 lbs ground almonds |
4 eggs, beaten |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Mix sugars. 2. Add almonds. 3. Mix eggs, lemon juice and vanilla. 4. Mix together. 5. Knead til pliable. 6. Divide in 3. 7. Wrap each in tinfoil. 8. Let stand overnight. 9. Roll out 1 ball to 1/2 inch thick and cover cakes. 10. Let stand overnight covered with a tea towel. 11. Ice cakes if desired. |
