This recipe goes with Chicken Loaf With Almond-Mushroom Sauce Ingredients:
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms |
1 tablespoon minced onion |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
2 cups chicken broth |
2 teaspoons lemon juice |
1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Sauté mushrooms and onion in butter in a medium skillet until onion is tender. Gradually add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add broth; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in lemon juice, almonds, and salt and pepper. Serve hot. |
