You can make this at home, it's easy and heart healthy! It makes a geat base for smoothies and sauces. Nuts are used prolifically in Africa and Asia. Ingredients:
1 cup almonds (you may blanch to remove skins if you like) |
3 cups water |
1 teaspoon honey (or agave syrup or maple syrup) |
Directions:
1. Add ingredients to blender. Process at low speed for 1 minute, and 3 minutes at high speed until smooth. Strain the mixture through cheese cloth to remove remaining solids. 2. Refrigerate until ready to use. |
