This makes an ideal beverage to go with snacks, breakfast cereals (including hot oatmeal), or dessert. For Hot Almond Milk: heat the mixture in a microwave on high in a microwave-safe mug for about 1 1/2 minutes. You may also heat it in a saucepan over medium heat. I found this recipe in Pop It, Stir It, Fix It, Serve it. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. Ingredients:
1 cup evaporated milk (chilled) or 1 cup whole milk (chilled) |
1/8-1/4 teaspoon almond extract |
1/4-1/2 teaspoon sugar or 1/4-1/2 teaspoon artificial sweetener, to taste |
Directions:
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a mug or glass. 2. Enjoy! |
