Nice and crunchy with oats and plenty of goodies. Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegan margarine, melted (or butter) |
1/4 cup sucanat (or brown sugar) |
2 tablespoons maple syrup |
1 tablespoon molasses |
2 cups rolled oats |
2/3 cup sliced almonds |
1/3 cup oat bran |
1/3 cup sunflower seeds |
1/3 cup shelled pumpkin seeds (pepitas) |
1/3 cup wheat germ |
3/4 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Mix together margarine, sugar, maple syrup, and molasses in the bottom of a 9 x 5 x 2 baking dish. 3. Stir in oats, almonds, oat bran, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds, tossing until well coated with syrupy mixture. 4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, stirring 2-3 times. 5. Stir in wheat germ and bake 10 minutes more, stirring a couple of times while baking. 6. Remove from oven and stir in raisins. 7. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container until ready to use. |
