I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Holidays Of The World Cookbook For Students. This recipe is from Bolivia. I plan to use Splenda for baking for the sugar. Ingredients:
2 cups almonds, finely ground |
1 1/3 cups sugar |
3 egg whites |
1 teaspoon almond extract |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. 2. In medium mixing bowl, mix almonds, sugar, egg whites, and almond extract until well blended. 3. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough onto lightly greased or nonstick cookie sheet, about 1-inch apart. 4. Bake in oven for about 25 minutes, or until crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. 5. Serve as a sweet snack. |
