1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup evaporated milk |
2 egg yolks |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 teaspoon almond extract |
1/2 cup flaked coconut |
1/2 cup finely chopped almonds |
Directions:
1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 12 minutes or until mixture thickens. Add remaining ingredients; beat until filling is thick enough to spread. Allow mixture to cool to room temperature. |
