Sweet, gooey and delicious! Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar |
1/2 cup margarine |
2 large eggs |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup corn syrup |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
3/4 cup coarsely chopped almonds |
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut |
Directions:
1. Crust: Mix flour and sugar. 2. Cut in the margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 3. Press firmly into a greased and floured 9 inch square cake pan. 4. Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes. 5. Topping: Combine eggs, sugar, surup, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and beat together. 6. Stir in the nuts and coconut. 7. Spread evenly over the crust. 8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until set and golden. 9. Cool thoroughly before cutting. |
