From my collection of handwritten recipes 1960's. Note: Chill time is not included. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups shredded mild natural cheddar cheese |
5 1/4 ounces camembert cheese, including crust |
1/2 cup dry white wine |
1 cup almonds, toasted and sliced, divided use |
fresh fruit |
cracker |
Directions:
1. In a small mixing bowl, combine cheeses and wine. Beat until smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup almonds. Cover and chill. Shape into dome. Press with remaining 1/2 cup almonds against outside of cheese. Serve with fresh fruit and crackers. |
