Almond Butter Crunch Wheels |

This is a buttery crunchy candy that takes no time at all. Can also be dipped in chocolate after it has set but I like it plain. Ingredients:
1 cup blanched slivered almonds |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon light corn syrup |
Directions:
1. Line bottom and sides of an 8 or 9 inch cake pan with aluminum foil. Butter heavily and set aside. 2. Combine all ingredients in a 10 inch skillet. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, still stirring, until mixture turns golden brown (7-10 minutes approximately). 3. Working quickly, spread in prepared pan. 4. Cool until firm. 5. Peel off foil. 6. Cool completely and break into pieces. 7. Makes about 3/4 pound. 8. Keep in airtight container. |
