Ingredients:
1 teaspoon(s) almond extract |
2 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
1 cup(s) chopped almonds |
5 eggs, well beaten |
2 1/2 cup(s) flour |
1 stick(s) margarine/butter |
1 cup(s) sugar |
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together margarine and sugar. Add the eggs, then the flavorings. Mix in flour and baking powder. Mix in nuts. 2. Grease a cookie sheet. Form two to three loaves (depending on desired size) from the dough. 3. Bake at 350 degrees from 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into slices. Turn the oven down to 200 degrees. 4. Return the slices to the oven and bake for one hour at 200 degrees to toast. Cool either on cookie sheets or cooling rack. |
